I'm pretty new to the fanfic business, so bare with me, okay? Please? My chattering's at the end of the chapter, so ta ta for now! ~~Sailor Moon~~ Oh he's so dreamy, standing there on top of that building. He's looking down on me, I'm sure. I'm such a dope. I fight my hardest but he still has to save me... maybe Sailor Mars is right... But still, I can't help but fell this connection to him. Every time that he holds me, I fell like I'm about to melt. All the scouts think it's just some silly little crush, but I really am in love with him... Yes it's true! I'm totally head over heels in love with him. I know he doesn't feel the same. Every time he's around, it's the time that I mess up or klutz out. But that's the way it is. It's the same way with that jerk Darien. Yea, I like him too. You know he looks a lot like Tuxedo Mask over there. but every time I'm around Darien, I klutz out too. But Darien always teases me, whereas Tuxedo Mask tries to help me get over what I'm afraid of and defeat the enemy. Well Someday, I'll show Darien AND Tuxedo Mask that I'm not just some klutzy brat that cries too much. I'll show them. ~~Tuxedo Mask~~ Sailor Moon really is beautiful. She reminds me of that crazy nutcase Serena. Serena's beautiful also. But I could never bring myself to admit to anyone that I think that. Gotta keep up my cool, nonchalant image. But Serena also reminds me of that princess in my dreams... If only she'd stop whining and yelling so much! But I like her a lot. I just can't bring myself to say it. Every time I'm near her I feel... I don't know how to explain it. But I'm never nice to her so I can't expect her to like me back. It's just something that I can't control when I'm near her. I get this sudden urge to tease her. I'm such a fool. If only there was a way... Serena bounced down the sidewalk on her way to the arcade, trying not to trip on anything. Just as she turned the corner, she bumped into someone. Serena opened her mouth to scream in pain, but then she remembered the pact she made with herself. She clenched her teeth together, so she wouldn't cry and got up brushing the dirt or her shorts. She looked down at the person she bumped into. "Darien!" She wasn't surprised, but it still came as a shock to her. "Why don't you ever watch where you're going Meatball Head?" Serena cringed at the name. "I'm sorry, Darien," she said as she held out her hand to help him up. "But, I was watching where I was going. I think it was you who wasn't watching," she said picking up his once opened book and dusting it off. Looking up at him, she smiled and handed the book to him. "Bye, Darien!" She skipped off the arcade without a glance back at him. *WHAT?! Serena didn't cry! That's a definite first!* Darien thought to himself. Then he decided to go to the arcade to see Serena. *I'm not going to go see Serena, I'm going to see Andrew,* he thought, denying his feelings..... As Darien walked into the arcade, he saw Serena carrying on a conversation with Andrew. He her her giggle at something he said and filled with jealousy. *Why am I getting jealous?! I don't like Serena,* he thought to himself. "Hey Andrew!" he said waving. "And Meatball Head," he added, sitting next to her. "Hey, Darien!" Andrew said leaning on the counter. "Darien," Serena said turning to him. "I'd appreciate it if you didn't call me that." "Why not? You're a meatball head! Just look at your hair!" he said with a grin. Serena pouted. Then she reached up at un-pinned the "meatballs" and let her long hair flow to the ground. She tilted her head to the side and ran a hand through it. Andrew and Darien stood there, shocked. "Now, am I a meatball head, Darien?" she said sweetly. Darien only shook his head. "Good, that's what I thought." She turned back to Andrew, who was still leaning on the counter, staring at her. "What?" she asked. "Nothing. You just.." "I just what?" "You have beautiful hair, Serena! I've never seen hair that was that long without split ends before!" Serena smiled at him. "Aw thanks, Andrew! Now can I have a--" She was cut off as Darien banged his fist on the counter. "Milkshake.." she said, surprised at Darien's outburst. *Man! Andrew's such a flirt! Look how he keeps going and going! Even worse, she LIKES him!* Darien was brought out of his trance as Serena touched his shoulder. "Darien? Darien? Hey snap out of it!!!" "Huh? Oh yeah, Serena, I'm okay." "Okay...." "So, Serena... did I ever tell you that..." "Tell me what, Darien?" Serena asked when he paused. *Uh... how can I tell her this?..* Darien opened his mouth to speak again. "Did I tell you that... ah, never mind." Serena looked at him curiously. "Whatever, Darien." She turned around and started sipping her milkshake. "So, Serena," Andrew said, "are you doing anything on Friday?" Serena looked at him, dumbfounded. She quickly wiped the surprised look off her face and said coolly, "um, I'll have to check, why?" Andrew blushed. "I don't know, I thought you might wanna got to the movies with me... or something." *ME?! Andrew's asking ME out?! Wow! I never thought a college guy would want to go out with me.* "Sure, Andrew. I'd like that." Andrew looked up. "Great! I'll pick you up around 6:30, Friday night." "Okay," Serena said, smiling. The whole while that Andrew was making this date, Darien stared at them with mixed emotions. *Ah! Why couldn't I just do that?! I'm such a fool. And Andrew! God, I guess after Rita broke up with him... but I should be happy for him. At least he's getting her off his mind. But then again, he's taking out my meatball head.* "Well," Serena said, breaking Darien's train of thought, "I have to go. Andrew here's my number." She grabbed a pen out of her purse and wrote it on Andrew's hand. "Don't do anything that makes you wash your hands, okay?" Andrew nodded. "Good. bye, Andy! Bye, Darien!" She waved and walked out of the arcade. "So, Andrew," Darien said when Serena was out of view. "Yeah, Darien?" "Why on Earth did you ask Meatball Head out?!" Darien said, part angry, part jealous, and part amused. Andrew shrugged. "She's a nice girl. I'd like to see her happy. You probably don't know this, but she's really sad all the time. And she has a lot of secrets. She won't open up to anyone... Kinda like you." Darien nodded. "Yeah... kinda like me..." he repeated quietly. "Yo! Darien?!" Darien snapped out of his trance. "Huh?" Andrew grinned. "Is there something you want to tell me, Darien? You've been all spacey since Serena arrived." "Serena?!" Andrew looked at Darien, with a confused look on his face. "Yes, Serena. You know. The cute blonde who you hate so much?" Darien slouched on his seat. "Andrew, can you keep a secret?" Andrew nodded intently. "Well, the truth is... I don't hate Serena." Andrew was silent. "In fact, I think I might be..." Just as he tried to finish his sentence, someone came in yelling frantically into the arcade. "I forgot this!" Serena appeared next to Andrew and Darien and bent down to pick up her wallet. "Bye guys!" she said as she ran out. Andrew and Darien watched Serena as she ran down the sidewalk outside. "Anyway, Darien? What were you saying about Serena?" "Nothing. I'll see you later Andrew." Darien got up from his chair and walked out. *Strange guy,* Andrew thought to himself. Later on: Serena twirled happily around in front of her mirror. She had just received a call from Andrew and he was going to pick her up. Serena hummed as she reached for her lipstick. She was wearing a dark denim blue jean jacket with a matching mini skirt. Underneath the jacket was a white halter that showed her midriff. She put on her white semi-platforms and grabbed her backpack purse then ran out of her room. Downstairs, her mother and father were arguing about Serena's date. "He's too old!" Ken, Serena's father yelled. "He's only 18, Kenneth! You were 19 when we started dating and I was 15. It's the same difference." "No it isn't. You were older." "It doesn't matter. Serena can..." "Mom! Dad! I can take care of myself okay?! Andrew's nice guy! And I've known him for a long time! Since I was 14!" "Since when did you meet college boys when you're 14?! And since when are you allowed to date?! In that outfit!!!" Ken nearly screamed. "Since I started going to the arcade. Andrew works there." Serena looked out the window and shrieked. "He's here! Bye! Don't wait up!" She ran out of the house and slammed the door. She jumped into Andrew's car before he could even get out. "Hurry up! Drive as fast as you can and Don't look back until we get the end of the street!" Not much of a cliffhanger, but a stopping place. Um… oh yeah! E-mail would be greatly appreciated.
