Chapter 2 

 Life sucks. Why does he need a partner for? There's no point to it. Damnit he hated this. Darien angrily speed his a midnight convertible through the streets without giving a damn to anything. He never wanted a partner. Never ever. JUST NEVER! And the worst that comes, it has to be a woman. DAMN ... life sucks!


                      MOON STREET

 The street indicated. 

 He sigh. "Well, this is it."

   Opening the Coffee Shop's door, he walk in. The area, seems ... dead. 
Not a single customer. Just empty.............. 

 "Okay ... am I in the right place? " he said to himself.

 "Why ..yes, Mr. Shields," a female voice spoke behind him. He turn around, and there he saw the most beautiful blue eyes that holds the depth of the skies. 

 "Mr. Shields? " the female spoke again. Which made him lost contact with the female's eyes.

 "Huh?.....Oh yea ...That's me!" he answer goofy as he scratch his head.

 "Well, yes of course. I'm Serena Tuskino. It's nice to meet you," she told him. 

 "Yea..." he said as he roam his eyes on Serena's body. And 'Wow' she got a great body. Her hair, blond as golden as it could be, her skin as soft as it could be, and most of all her eyes, the 'skies holder.'

 Serena who's being very annoy by Darien's looking her at that way. Although, Darien is really cute with that beautiful midnight eyes......... But she shake that off. She has to get her job done and Darien will be in her way.

 "Could we get down to business, Shields?" she asked.

 "Yea..." he said, still being in his dreamily stated. This was what not like him at all! But hey any guy who see this pretty girl right now, they would do the same. 

 "Good, come on let's take a seat," she told him again and walk away to find a place to sit down. Darien follow, snapping out his dreamily state, of taking that girl into his bed. *But that would be later.....* he said to himself.

 As the 2 took there seatt and order their coffee. Serena broke the silent and got down to business. 

 "OK, I know you know why I'm here as I know yours
 as well. I don't need a parthe and I don't want you to get in my way. Plus, I don't like to have a partner and I don't want a guy to be my partner. And this case is mine solo."

 "Well, I see we both have the same visions and thoughts about this parthner situation. And I also don't what a weak little girl like you to be my partner in this case, either. I also want my own case as solo," he told her coldly. *Who the hell does she think she is?  She comes here to Detroit from Tokyo an acting like she's miss thing! Ha! If She wants to do this case of hers on her own, then that would be fine with me... I don't need to share! *

 "Good. I do my case alone and you do yours alone," she said in authorize attitude and left.

     "What a bitch."

                          **** Next Day *****



  It's 9:00 am and yet heading to his office wouldn't happen since the Captain just yell his name again. So carrying his coffee, he headed to the Captain's office. * I wonder what is it this time? * he wonder as he walk in.

 There he saw his Captain and Miss Serena Tuskino sitting down. His Captain looked as usual. Grumpy. And Miss Bitch there, look all professional. 

 "Yes, Cap?" he asked sweetly.

  "Don't bullshit with me, you too, Sere! Both of you guys are working together and I don't care about your solo style shit! "

 "Come on Lita..." Serena whined.

 "No ... Meatball Head!" Lita told her coldly. The two start arguing. Darien who sat there confused and don't know what the heck is going on with the two. They seem like friends.

 "Umm ... you guys must known one another before...huh?" he asked them. The two stop bickering and look at Darien. "Duh!" they both said at once. Boy do they sound like kids. Then they went back to their quarrel.

 Darien just rolled his eyes.* Women.*

                   ****An 1 hour Later*****

 
 "Wow... I never knew my old special captain loves to cook, clean, be a house wife and like boys." Darien said goofy. Hey! An hour of hearing his Mean old captain's life, it's was pretty funny. And maybe he could use all this information that Serena just had spill about his captain for blackmail. He just had to grin evilly.

 "Shut up Shields!" Lita angrily yell.

 "Sorry Captain!" he apologize and still smiling evilly.
 
 "Lita ... please!" Serena still whining.

 "THIS IS IT! I DON'T CARE IF YOU TWO HATE ONE ANOTHER! JUST BE
PARTNERS OK! END OF STORY" she scream in rage.

 "But-"

 "No Sere! If you're still refusing, I'm gonna send you back to Tokyo!"

 "What?! I'm your best friend!!!"

 "SO?"

 "Fine if you want that way! I won't give you the letter Ken wrote to you!"

 "Sere stop bribing me. You know it won't work."

 "Ok...ok..fine."

 "Good! You two may leave. And I expect any report by next week." Lita said strictly.

 "Whatever ... baka." Serena muttered. Luckily Lita didn't hear the word. Then she stomp out of the office.

 Darien who sat there, was being the quiet one listening to the two. Boy it was cute seeing his captain and his new partner bickering at one another. It was like a Kodex moment for him.

 "Darien.. watch out for her for me." Lita said concerning about her friend well being.  "She's the daring type...and I don't want anything to happen to her."

 "Didn't think you have a heart," he joked, but instead he only got a murderous glared from his captain. "Sure...captain. " And then he walk out, going after his partner.
